Let’s clear up the confusion between Toshiba and Toshiba Machine

Dear [first name],

With all the news about Toshiba’s current business struggles, we’re hearing questions about Toshiba Machine—and we’re eager to clear up any confusion. While Toshiba Machine was historically part of Toshiba, Toshiba Machine’s recent acquisition of its treasury stock reduced Toshiba’s holdings from 20.1% to only 2% of the total stocks issued. In fact, Toshiba Machine is no longer included in Toshiba’s equity accounting.

With no connection to the business challenges facing Toshiba, the financial standing and business structure of Toshiba Machine remain strong. TM Robotics is proud to manage Toshiba Machine’s Industrial Robot distribution network outside of Asia, and we’re happy to answer any questions that you or your customers may have.

Toshiba Machine continues to offer cost-effective, reliable, and high-performance automation solutions. As the only company that produces all three categories of robots—6-axis, SCARA, and Cartesian—in a full range of capabilities and cost, Toshiba Machine makes it easy for you to specify and deliver exactly the right robot for your customers’ applications.

In fact, we’ve just returned from Automate 2017 with more leads and excitement about our product range than ever before.

In this month’s newsletter, you’ll see even more opportunities for you to succeed with Toshiba Machine and TM Robotics. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me directly at nigel@tmrobotics.com

New 6-Axis Robot Series Offers Longer Reach and Higher Payload

For the first time, the world debut of a new Toshiba Machine robot series occurred in the US, at Automate 2017. Based on the award-winning design of the TVL series of 6-axis robots, the new TVM 6-axis robots offer longer reach and higher payload, which opens up new markets for you.

These robots are cost-effective, energy-efficient, and easy-to-program, making them ideal for light- to medium-duty applications such as loading & unloading of CNC or injection molding machines.

Application Spotlight: Screw-Feeding and -Driving

TM Robotics has partnered with ASG to provide a high-speed, cost-effective vertical screw-feeding and -driving system using a Toshiba Machine TH-A series SCARA robot. The integrated systems are built as turnkey solutions by ASG.

The demonstration video is available online to show the capabilities which, together with the Toshiba Machine SCARA robot, offer high speed, robust solutions, with advanced functionality that is also cost-effective.

Case Study: Box Filling

The BoxCellPlus will be exhibited on the Orfer stand, Hall 9 9B24, at Interpack May 4 - 10, 2017 in Dusseldorf. The ORFER BoxCellPlus system opens the cardboard boxes, folds the flaps, fills the box, and seals the bottom with tape. The high speed of the Toshiba Machine SCARA robot made the development of the packing cell possible. The robot can handle almost any product weighing less than 10 kilograms, and has proven to be reliable, durable, and nearly maintenance-free. Due to its modular structure and adjustable control system, the ORFER BoxCellPlus is easy to connect to an automated packing system.

If you can’t join us in Dusseldorf, you can still see the full application via our video section here.
